GLOSSther vol 2 March-12-19 2026
It was 80 degrees yesterday. Right now it is snowing.
Virginia, doing what Virginia does. We had four days in the 70s, a gorgeous week by any measure — and this morning flipped the script entirely. If you drove home in it today, you already know. If you didn't, just look out the window.
The good news: this weekend clears back into the 50s and 60s, and there is genuinely a lot going on. Carter Minor Blues Band at Flat Iron on Saturday, the Indigenous Peoples Exhibit opening in Mathews, VA Shellphish doing a St. Paddy's set at Gloucester Brewing on Sunday. Restaurant Week also ends this Sunday, March 15 — last call to eat local at a deal.
And put March 28 on your calendar right now: the 40th Annual Daffodil Festival. It'll feel earned after a week like this.
Stay warm today. The rest of the week is worth it.
