GLOSSther vol 4 March 26- April 2 2026
It's finally here. Forty years of daffodils, and Gloucester is ready.
The Festival is the main event — 11,000 people interested and Kelsick set up right on Main Street with a full strolling menu all day. Come for the vendors, stay for the food.
Beyond the Festival: tonight's Hidden Objects opening at Bay School in Mathews is one of the more interesting gallery shows of the year — artists hide objects in their work for you to find. Sunday, Pups in Pastels at Quarterpath Park in Williamsburg is exactly what it sounds like — Easter eggs, dogs in pastels, and the Easter Bunny for photos. I don't have a dog but this is genuinely the most adorable thing in this newsletter and if you do, get your spot now — only 75. And if you've been wanting to try wheel throwing, Alma Bella by the Bay in Urbanna has pottery classes Thursday through Saturday — beginner-friendly, coastal studio, my kind of afternoon.
Also on my radar: the Estate Sale in Kilmarnock, Mosaic Sessions adult dance classes, a Beginner Watercolor Cartoon class, and an Art & Craft Supply Swap — all in the calendar below.
Happy Festival week, Gloucester.
