Happy Easter weekend, Gloucester.
Tonight is First Friday at Arts on Main — the Aqua Flora opening with Caroline and Paul Rowntree, live music from Hunter Owens, light bites, and wine. It's free and it's a good one. If you haven't been to a First Friday on Main Street yet, this is a nice place to start.
Saturday I have two picks that couldn't be more different: the Tea Blending Workshop at Arts on Main at noon (ages 18+, $50, very limited space — register now if you want in) and the Gwynn's Island Raw Bar Run 5K in Grimstead, which ends with a free oyster bar and live music. I will let you decide which one is more me. 🦪
Also Saturday — the Presidents Heads in Williamsburg are open for tours. If you've never seen 42 decaying giant presidential busts in a field, this is your moment. Genuinely one of the stranger things within driving distance and worth it.
Sunday is Easter. White Dog Bistro in Mathews is doing a full Easter brunch 11–6 — call ahead, reservations recommended. A beautiful day for it at 68°.
